Our name, from the Swahili word “Rika,” means the powerful bond formed from shared experiences in an age group.
We connect teachers with training, children with safe spaces, and communities with the tools to support their youth.
We protect childhoods and nurture futures by keeping kids safe, in school, and engaged in learning.

RICCA’s Mission is To Create an Education Environment for Children that reduces Drop Out and Improves Academic and Social Outcomes through better infrastructure, Resources and Support.

The Keys to a Breaking intergenerational barriers to quality education in rural Kenya
We need to create an education system which is not just accessible but deeply meaningful, addressing critical challenges like child labour, drug abuse, period poverty, harmful cultural norms.
Boys Rise to Greatness in Kenya through our Boy Esteem Project
We are working to support boys and men to address the unique challenges they face as we form alliances to address empowering the girl child while keeping the boy child enabled and part and parcel of the change to achieve an equal and just society.
Addressing the basics when it comes to accessing quality education
RICCA is delivering innovative solutions in improving digital literacy, Playful learning, sanitation and hygiene for children to make rural public primary schools attractive.
Children in the lead to addressing their own concerns
We facilitate children to have peer led conversations in open dialogues with schools, parents and communities. This builds their communication, problem solving, decision making, participation skills enhacing leadership skills.

Education is not about what we wear or how fancy a school building looks. Its about effective learning materials, competent teachers, inclusive, child friendly spaces and children enjoying while they are learning.
